Convidados

a guide to help you choose your perfect wedding venue in Portugal

Portuguese for the guests — the ones who have to get there

A destination wedding is really two problems. The first is which quinta. The second is that eighty people have to get there, from four countries, on the same weekend — and that quietly decides the first one.

Convidados puts both on the same map. Portugal's wine regions, the venues inside them, and the drive from each airport to each one. Tick Lisbon and Porto and the map shows only what is reachable from either; pull the budget down and the rest fade out.

region & budget → the quintas that fit → keep five → send the couple one link

Where this goes

The map is the front of it, not the whole of it. A venue decides everything that comes after it — which airport, how long the drive, where people sleep, what shape the weekend takes. The moment a couple chooses, most of those answers are already known.

So the thread keeps running. Choose the quinta, write the instructions, send the invitation, watch the replies land, keep the travel and the rooms and the running order in one place the couple actually controls — and hand the whole thing over at the end, theirs to keep.

  1. Choose the quinta, from the map
  2. Say how to get there, where to sleep, what the weekend is
  3. Send an invitation built for that wedding, not a template
  4. Watch the yesses, the nos, the dietaries, the flights
  5. Keep it all in one place, owned by the couple

Right now a destination wedding costs you a venue directory, a website builder, an invitation shop and a spreadsheet — four tools that know nothing about each other, none of which has ever heard of the Douro. This is the one thread instead.

The map is live. The rest is being built — invitations first.

The map is a working prototype, and it says so on every screen. The venues, their regions and their links are real and checked. The prices and the venue details are invented placeholders so the filters have something to work against — nobody has been contacted and no figure in it is a quote. The invitations, the RSVPs and the logistics above are the plan, not yet the product.
